In April, our team wanted to give back to our community by running a Food Drive for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. It is with great pleasure that we announce the results of our efforts!
On April 9, 2020, we sent two of our Umbrella vans to collect food donations from clients’ homes and offices throughout the day. The generosity from our community was amazing and our goal of collecting 500 pounds was overwhelmingly exceeded. In total, we collected 948 pounds of food donations along with cheques that help the food bank purchase $3 worth of food for every $1 donated.
As we promised, Umbrella Property Services will be donating $1 for every pound collected, totalling $948! You can read more about our Food Drive in this article by our friends over at Jobber!
We are considering running another food drive in May 2020! If you’d like to be involved, please give us a call or send us an email! Thank you to everyone who is doing what they can, big and small, for their local community. Whether it’s taking out the garbage for a neighbour, dropping off groceries to a sheltered friend, or banging pots and pans at 7pm, it’s in times like these that we can unite and build a stronger Vancouver.
